Teaching Assistant (Immediate Start) - Slough


We have a fantastic primary school located in the Slough area who are seeking a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils in their educational studies.

The role of the Teaching Assistant is full time role available immediately.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with SEN children with autism of primary school age. As a Teaching Assistant will need to provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)


This Teaching Assistant position is the ideal role for someone looking to build a long term career in the education sector working with SEN students.

This Teaching Assistant role would also be suitable for graduates seeking a full time Teaching Assistant role supporting children with a range of SEN.


The Role:


  • Teaching Assistant supporting children with autism and ASD across different year groups within a primary school
  • To provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • To work with individual students, small groups and support in whole classes within an agreed system of supervision under the direction of the SENDCO and SEND Hub Manager

Requirements:


  • Previous experience with SEN either in a previous role or some capacity would be ideal for this role as a Teaching Assistant
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is ideal though not essential
  • Have a good understanding of the key skills and traits required to be a great Teaching Assistant for children with SEN
  • Be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3.30pm
  • Either live in Slough or within a commutable distance

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
