    Description

    Field Visual Merchandiser - 12 Month Secondment

    This role supports the delivery of In-Store Retail Visual Merchandising (VM) across our retail estate, ensuring consistent presentation in all stores.

    This is a new field role that will work closely with instore VM teams and the centralized VM team to deliver the brand's visual strategy. The successful candidate will be a key link between the Retail, Wholesale, and Franchise store VM teams and the global VM team.

    The role will initially be based in the UK, with regular travel and occasional international trips may be required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver the Gymshark VM strategy across our retail estate
    • Coach store VM teams to ensure all stores represent our brand DNA to the highest standard
    • Identify training needs across Retail, Wholesale, and Franchise VM teams and develop relevant training materials
    • Onboard in-store VM leads to set them up for success as we expand globally
    • Review and implement a train-the-trainer process to equip every VM team member at new store openings
    • Maintain regular communication with in-store VM teams through weekly visits and/or virtual meetings
    • Provide detailed weekly updates to the global Senior VM Manager, including photographs of each store's status
    • Offer hands-on support to teams where needed, with an agile mindset
    • Build strong relationships with the Global teams to stay informed about shop fits, product ranges, POS strategy, styling principles, and other key aspects
    • Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and ensure our IRL presence is accessible and suitable for all
    • Stay up-to-date on new innovations in VM and ways of working, and share knowledge with the team
    • Foster a culture of belonging, where everyone feels valued and wants to be part of our community

    Essential Skills:

    • Experience in Field VM, with a solid understanding of setting stores up for success
    • Excellent communication skills, working effectively with various teams at different levels
    • Training and onboarding experience with VM best practices
    • Commercial acumen and ability to drive commercial success through VM practices
    • Spatial awareness to understand customer flow and key areas of the store
    • High attention to detail and high visual standards
    • Experience in Visual Merchandising principles and identifying key do's and don'ts in retail
    • Experience with new store openings across multiple territories and formats
    • Technical knowledge of VM, fitness, fashion, and styling, as well as store layout planning
    • Staying up-to-date on latest trends, competitor activity, and market awareness
    • Experience in high-culture environments
    • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback and willing to challenge and be challenged
    • Ability to travel and work across time zones when required

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Experience working with international teams and understanding different VM requirements globally
    • Experience in the fitness apparel industry
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
