This is an exciting opportunity to gain an Apprenticeship in a growing company based in Swansea. Energist supplies high quality products to the medical and aesthetic treatment sectors via a worldwide network of distributors.Its products are largely electro-mechanical in nature and are assembled both in-house, at its Swansea manufacturing facility, and by specialist sub-contractors based in the locality.
The role is based within the Warehouse Department but is by nature cross-functional with other departments, principally Operations, Sales, Quality, Engineering and Procurement.
As a registered medical device manufacturer, Energist maintains a Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA CFR 21.
This is an Apprenticeship, so no past experience is required, you will learn everything you need to know through a combination of NVQ qualification studies and on-the-job learning with experienced colleagues.
During this Apprenticeship, you will learn to monitor and control inventory levels, receive, pack, dispatch and process orders within the stores and warehousing area.
- Pick and Pack relevant products in preparation for shipping
- Print user manuals
- H&S weekly and monthly tests in line with annual schedule
- Support production with nozzle boxing
- Ensure adequate reporting of inventory (raise works orders/process adjustments)
- Pack NeoGen systems
- Liaise and coordinate shipping
- Book inventory in to stores
- Maintain nozzle spreadsheet
- Build trolleys
- Accompany UK service engineer on deliveries and collections within working hours
- Support Health & Safety Activities
Working Hours
Standard hours are 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, with a half-hour lunch break, and 08:00 to 13:00 on Fridays. Occasional working outside these hours may be required to meet exceptional demands.
Pay
The starting rate for this role is £6.40 per hour
Annual Leave
Paid holiday entitlement is 25 days plus statutory public holidays.
Travel
Occasional travel outside the office may be required, e.g., to supplier/customer premises. To undertake this, a full driving licence would be mandatory.
It is not anticipated that foreign travel, or anything other than an occasional overnight stay will be required, and a passport is not an essential requirement.
Skills, Experience and Education
- Basic IT and Digital skills would be essential, including MS Word and Excel
- A good work ethic, punctuality and good communication skills are important for this role
- You will be selfmotivated, organised, methodical and process oriented
- GCSE's in Maths and English are desirable
- No formal work experience
