Purchase Ledger Clerk | Leicester | Permanent | Full-time | Office based | £23,000-£25,000 dependant on experience
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their next
Purchase Ledger Clerk role. My client is a family-run
Leicester based company specialising in energy.

The team are supportive and provide a great working environment and are seeking someone who can hit the ground running with ample experience.

You will have ownership of the purchase ledger and handle payments and invoices for multiple organisations. This role is 100% office based and the hours are Mon-Fri 8:30-5pm. There is free parking on-site and a great pension scheme provided.

Here's a brief overview of the job:

Key Responsibilities:

- _Process high volumes of invoices_
- _Match purchase invoices with purchase orders on the CRM system_
- _Coding_
- _Reconciling supplier statements_
- _Prepare payment proposals for authorization_
- _Process payments by BACS_
- _Resolve supplier queries an be the first point of contact_
- _Communicate with suppliers on payment dates and send remittances_
- _Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing supplier details_
- _Provide cover to the finance department during staff absence and leave_


Requirements:

- _Previous experience in a similar role handling purchase ledger_
- _Good Microsoft Excel skills (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables)_
- _Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines_
- _Experience in the use of Sage Accounts, Xero, or Quickbooks and Excel_


Desirable:

- _AAT Qualified/Part Qualifiied_
