Care Assistant - Birmingham (Full and Part time Hours)

Saint Paul's Nursing Home is home to female members of the Sisters of Charity of St Paul the Apostle and managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services.


We are looking for a Care Assistant to provide a high level of holistic care and support for the members of the Religious Community in their home, to ensure that an independent lifestyle is facilitated.


We pride ourselves on supporting the people who use our services in such a way to enable them to live as independently and dignified a life as possible in their home, so it is essential that a quality driven and holistic service is maintained at all times.


Essential Criteria:

  • An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity
  • Ability to respond to guidance and direction
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • Experience of developing personal care plans
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to provide personal care
  • Able to work flexible hours and sleepins
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
  • Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people
  • Nondiscriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
