We are looking for an experienced Project Support Officer to join the Fast-Track Cities London initiative.

We need someone who has substantial experience of working on complex large-scale programs across London or nationally, preferably within a public sector environment.


The post-holder is responsible for providing support to the teams for admin, planning, co-ordination, project management, finances, procurement and evaluation.

We are looking for strong delivery skills including project management, communications and engagement skills and financial and procurement experience.

The post holder will be able to manage a number of pieces of work at once and ensure delivery of a variety of outputs on time and to budget.


The post-holder will work collaboratively with the Fast Track Cities Leadership Group, as well as with a range of external and internal stakeholders.


It is expected that the specific programme the post holder works on within this broad area will change over time as the portfolio of work changes.

Fast Track Cities London initiative


This role will take lead responsibility for supporting the Fast-Track Cities London programme team to implement large, complex projects, managing the projects from procurement to full delivery of the project outputs.


This is an ideal role for somebody who is passionate about health and in particular HIV, with an absolute focus on delivering to deadline and specification.


The Project Support Officer will be responsible for providing excellent project management support to the programme team and Leadership Group, managing the Fast-Track Cities Leadership Group and sub group meetings and minutes.


They will also be responsible for monthly reporting, keeping track of the budgets, managing procurement processes, and keeping logs and action plans up to date.


The Project Support Officer will be a first port of call for many of the varied workstreams within the programme and will need to hold the reins on the programme plans and keep the team on track.

They will often be liaising with the Fast-Track Cities Leadership Group members, supporting the team to organise events and other project officer duties as required.


As Project Support Officer you will work as part of a dynamic team in Transformation Partners in Health and Care.

Our partnership working brings together the NHS in London and our partners to deliver better health and care for all Londoners.

Our partners include the Mayor of London, Greater London Authority, Public Health England, London Councils and Health Education England.

Fast-Track Cities London is part of a global network of over 500 cities working together to get to zero new HIV infections, zero preventable deaths and zero stigma by 2030.


The Fast-Track Cities leadership group is the only forum that brings together, everyone working in the HIV sector in one place.

It is made up of stakeholders across the city, including people living with HIV, the Mayor of London, NHS England (London), UKHSA, London Councils, academics, clinicians, and the voluntary and community sector.


The Fast-Track Cities leadership group comes together to look at; the complex issues around HIV in London, support each other to deliver as effectively and efficiently as possible and find opportunities to work together to get to zero quicker.
