Senior Operations Manager
Opportunity to join one of the UK's leading public organisations, seeking a Senior Operations Manager to enable the seamless day to day operations of the Chief Executive and CCO, working in a varied and interesting environment, driving key strategic developmentand decision-making processes.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Identify and make recommendations for improvements to processes and ways of working that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the CCO team's support to senior leaders.
- Provide specialist, functional expertise, advice or ideas into the development and implementation of corporate change/policy review projects.
- Deploy a range of specialist or bespoke systems/technologies/approaches to support the provision of high quality services and advice to senior leaders.
- Quality assuring and rewriting as necessary, board and other important governance papers.
- Ensure stakeholders (internal and external) are appropriately engaged, consulted and updated.
- Determine work plans and coordinate input from others across the organisation to meet specific objectives and deadlines.
- Formal line management of junior colleagues.
- Lead the development of specific business plans and priorities e.g. policy development/process improvements.
Experience and Attributes:
- Demonstrable experience of excellent judgement and ability to understand and navigate complex issues and ability to respond flexibly in often ambiguous environments.
- Ability to evaluate existing processes and practice, and propose more efficient solutions.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills.
- Strong team player willing to jump in to support and stand in for immediate team members, a 'can do' solutionsfocused attitude, and ability to flex to ensure that together it delivers to a high standard.
- Demonstrable ability to work under considerable pressure and at pace and deliver against tight deadlines.
- Experience of policy and process improvement
- Experience of working with senior leaders of a large organisation
- Excellent communication skills, written and digital presentation skills.
