We are actively seeking air, sea and road freight professionals with a passion for freight forwarding and aviation shipping to fill a new role as an Air Freight Forwarder near London, Heathrow.

Our client is a market leader in the shipping industry, with offices based across the world. You will be joining a fast-paced environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail and FMCG-based customers. Our client focuses on securing air freight, AOG, sea freight and road freight solutions that are both cost-effective and time-sensitive.

Job Description

As an Air Freight Forwarder, you will report to the Freight Branch Manager on a daily basis. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing air freight import and export bookings, including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentation.
Preparing documents of operations and transportation, such as booking, BL, pre-advices and loading confirmation.
Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in accordance with various INCOTerms.
Raising additional customs documentation to ensure smooth movement of freight from country to country.
Analyzing customer rates on route guidance and monitoring and securing allocations and operation efficiency.
Developing and building relationships to provide high-level customer service to clients, with a deep understanding of their business requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in freight forwarding across both import and export. The ideal Air Freight Forwarder will possess the following skills and experience:

At least 2 years' experience in freight forwarding in either air, sea or road freight forwarding.
Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across road, air and sea freight.
