Staffing and skills are key challenges for organisations and sectors across the UK and internationally.
In RSM's Skills and Sector team we provide research and evaluation support to identify skills gaps and evaluate programmes set up to fill them across the full range of sectors.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Managing or Senior Consultant with expertise in Skills/ Education/ Sector policy/programme evaluation, research, or analysis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple projects for clients, to RSM's high level of service and value on time, to quality and cost securing excellent client testimonials.
- Line manage, mentor and coach junior staff as required, seeking to support the team's learning ethos.
- Lead or contribute substantially to the development of highquality proposals in line with tender specifications, in a timely and robust manner.
- Work to build client and partner relationships, and identify and pursue agreed opportunities to promote the growth of RSM's burgeoning skills and sector development team.
Essential Requirements
- A strong academic record including research and / or numerical (we will consider applicants from a range of academic backgrounds, including but not limited to economic and social research).
- Experience delivering policy or economic research or evaluation assignments (a minimum of 4 years for Senior applicants; a minimum of 6 years for Managing Consultants applicants).
- At least 2 years' experience of developing successful tender submissions for public sector assignments.
- Excellent spoken and written communication, including experience presenting complex ideas clearly and concisely to senior client teams and delivering highquality reports, ideally in a public policy or consulting environment.
- Excellent project management skills, including project planning and budget management, and ability to meet deadlines in a client / quality focused environment.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of HM Treasury's 'Magenta Book', and ideally 'Green Book',
- High proficiency in MS Office and PowerPoint.
