This is an interesting new post that will have considerable input into the service development work being undertaken as part of the Mental Health Transformation, as well as having a leadership role within the Young People's Mental Health pathway.

The role will be located in South Staffordshire and will support the successful transition of young people aged 17-25 into appropriate mental health services, aiming to enhance their social and mental outcomes as they grow into adulthood.

  • Enhance awareness of opportunities and challenges in mental health services for young people across MPFT services and partners.
  • Foster excellent working relationships between Children and Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services including IAPT
  • Contribute to the review and update of protocols for transition between CAMHS and AMHS services. Support implementation of updated transition processes from CAMHS to adult services and evaluate these.
  • Identify adaptations needed to adult mental health services to improve access and engagement for young people. Coordinate and manage change for this pathway.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs for AMH colleagues to ensure a skilled informed response for young people.
  • Engage with young people and coproduce work to ensure lived experience influences changes in services.

All have an equal chance of success in achieving a role with us.

We will support your career development and progression. Membership of the excellent NHS pension scheme, generous maternity, paternity, adoption leave, pay and the option for flexible working.

You will receive up to 27 days annual leave (increasing to 33 days) and the opportunity to purchase additional annual leave.
