This exciting role within our compliance schemes department to oversee and evolve the business development, market strategy and business position in line with the requirements under the forthcoming Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) from the resourceand waste strategy (RWS).
The role will also require providing operational oversight to the scheme and management of compliance managers, including being a key contact in liaising with the relevant Agencies.
The focus will be on the scheme alinement ready for the new regulations and supporting the existing operations of the schemes including, evolving the scheme processes and providing general support across the department.
Here's what we require
Compliance
- Have a general oversight and provide operational support to the scheme
- Line management of agreed compliance managers.
- Position the business for the changes under the waste and resources strategy
- Develop the data service processes and systems.
- Develop the marketing strategy for the department (Packaging & WEEE)
- Recruitment of Members. (Packaging & WEEE)
- Support the annual, biannual registrations, quarterly returns and resubmissions process.
- Maintain relationships with Key Clients.
- Retention of existing customer portfolio.
- Compliance with the regulations and best practice.
- Compliance with all QA procedures.
- Promote other services across membership.
- Inspire and Champion Biffa Compliance Scheme offer internally and externally.
- Provide support across the scheme and offer advice to members and the Biffa functions.
- A champion of Biffa compliance and company values.
Requirements:
Experience/ Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience working with in Producer Responsibility
- Experience dealing with the Environment Agency and the procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate at all levels
- Good Presentation skills
- The ability to lead projects and to meet deadlines
- Degree level qualification.
- High level of Excel skills
- High level of numeracy and literacy
