Qualified Assessor/Trainer (40 Hours a week - Full Time)
Salary Grading for this role - £26, £29,000.00 per annum (depending on qualification
and experience)
We are looking to recruit an experienced and Assessor and Trainer, to join our training team to ensure that the training process is followed from induction, through to shadowing and ongoing annual mandatory training.
The assessor/trainer will ensure that the workforce has been adequately trained and are enrolled onto RQF programmes in a timely manner.
The assessor/trainer will have oversight of workforce qualification progress and provide support and guidance to ensure that training and workforce development targets are met.

Responsibilities of the Assessor/Trainer
- Support staff through their personal development plans.
- Induct new staff into the business.
- Support staff to achieve the training learning outcomes through action planning, assessment feedback and portfolio building.
- Produce an action plan for the completion of the qualification programmes with the learners.
- Ensure all staff have a personal development plan.
- Deliver inhouse training.
- Input onto the company and other databases where required all short and full course bookings and ensure these are kept uptodate.
- Evaluate all short course evaluations and report back appropriately.
- Process paperwork for all completed courses.
- Producing statistics as required by the Senior Management.
- Source funded training opportunities.
Essential Criteria for the Assessor Role Includes:
- Qualified to a minimum Level 3 teaching/training qualification.
- Confident in face to face and remote delivery.
- Qualified and experienced Assessor.
- Previous experience of assessing or working in a residential childcare setting.
- Hold a minimum of Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification, Preferable have Level 5 Residential Childcare qualification or related qualification.
- Experience with LMS and eportfolio systems
- Good working knowledge of current legislation and health and safety.
- Excellent organisational & communication skills and also be IT literate.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly.
Other Factors
- Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date.
- Hold or be prepared to be qualified to deliver first aid and paediatric first aid.
- Ready to commit to the role in its entirety.
- Driver essential with Full UK Drivers Licence.
