Background:


The Joint School Academic Services Department has recently embarked on an exciting period of change supporting two new schools, the School of Communications and Creativity, and the School of Policy and Global Affairs.


The School of Communications and Creativity brings together City's renowned Department of Journalism with two new Departments: Cultural Industries and Performing Arts (the latter of which contains the newly acquired Urdang Academy, specialising in musical theatre training).


The School of Policy and Global Affairs at City structures itself around interdepartmental frameworks that enhance collaboration between the departments of Economics, International Politics, Sociology and Criminology, and affiliated research centres.


Responsibilities:


The Student Mobility Officer works in a team responsible for shaping the Schools' approach to the university's core priorities outlined in City's Vision and Strategy 2030 and delivering programmes that are key to enhancing students' global acumen and their employability.

In particular, the student exchange programme helps students in building successful and fulfilling careers, developing leaders for the world of work.

The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the Schools' international student exchange programme. This includes supporting outbound City students and inbound partner university students through their experience studying abroad. They will provide administrative and pastoral support to students through pre-participation, induction, on-programme, post-participation and onto employment.

They will be a point of contact for the Schools' partner universities and core to maintaining and enhancing the University's international relationships.
