    Description

    The Specialist Weight Management Service provides evidence-based, individualized, high-quality holistic treatment to patients within the communities it serves.

    This role includes assessing patients' stage of obesity, associated causal factors, medical presentation/symptoms, co-morbidity management and recommendations for treatment. A key aspect of this position is identifying and addressing the root causes of weight-related issues to develop effective treatment plans.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their stage of obesity and associated health risks.
    • Identify and manage causal factors contributing to weight gain or obesity.
    • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address medical presentation/symptoms and co-morbidities.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A strong understanding of evidence-based practices in weight management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • The ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to obesity and related health issues.

    Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
