Finance Associate

Our client is an ESG-focused pan-European real estate investor, developer and operator focused on the logistics sector.

The primary strategy is to enable and accelerate the electrification of growing commercial fleets by developing and managing purpose-built EV charging vaults in close proximity to logistics tenants' existing warehouse facilities.

They are a young, agile, rapidly growing real estate company delivering exceptional value to our institutional LP investor base.


Position Overview
They are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented individual to join their team.

The role encompasses investment analysis and asset management tasks, aiding the team in evaluating and analysing potential investment opportunities, supporting transactions workflows, as well as managing the existing portfolio.


Key responsibilities include detailed financial modelling and analysis, as well as the preparation of presentations and other documents, documentation of business progress, updating weekly agendas, reporting, and research.

The role requires an understanding of current ESG standards and an interest in monitoring/adapting to evolving ESG trends and practices.


Key Job functions

  • Build and maintain investment models including sensitivity analysis, IRR calculations, joint venture, and debt structuring.
  • Undertake accurate and thorough research to support investment underwriting.
  • Overlay knowledge of logistics tenant requirements with asset management and development modelling.
  • Collate, file, and disseminate relevant market data and research to wider team.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for the investment committee, outlining the risk/return profile, market conditions, and strategic rationale for proposed investments. Support senior members of the Investment Team in preparing appraisals and reports for Investment Committee.
  • Create and maintain internal reporting summaries, trackers and similar.
  • Coordinate with agents, consultants, and other external parties to gather critical information and conduct due diligence on potential opportunities.
  • Adhoc analysis and administrative tasks as required.

Key Job Relationships

  • To work as part of the team in supporting all decision making through robust research and financial modelling.
  • Collaborate with external parties, including consultants, planners, energy/construction professionals and logistics clients to support analysis when assisting on specific projects.

Person Specification

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in European real estate investment, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record in financial modelling and investment analysis.
  • Strong modelling skills and highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using real estate management software (e.g. YARDI) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of databases and able to aggregate data from many sources.
  • Previous experience in real estate to transaction level
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to staying informed about evolving ESG trends and practices.
  • A 'can do' attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • European language(s) a plus
