The role, Finance Business Partner...

a braod role where you will be at the heart of an extremely successful retail & E-commerce business based in Leicester.


Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and with extensive engagement with the Group CEO, CFO, and other senior colleagues, this role is critical in driving analytical and commercial best practice, efficiencies and profit across the business.


The Opportunity...


As a Finance Business Partner, you will oversee the production of month-end reporting and FP&A activities for a number of recent acquisitions whilst building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the conduit betweenFinance and the wider firm.

It's worth highlighting that although the bulk of the responsibilities in this role are strategic/ commercially focused however there are some technical elements which you'll need to oversee (working with external auditors, ensuringappropriate controls are in place, integration of acquisitions etc)


Other responsibilities include:

  • Drive understanding of key drivers & provide ontime decision support to the business
  • Contribute to the budgeting, forecasting and 3, 5 year planning cycles
  • A range of ad hoc projects to support the business
  • Responsible for the line management of one direct report
There will be additional opportunities for higher exposure to different projects that will be extremely valuable for career development.


Who the client is looking for...

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with related postqualification finance experience although very open to someone making their first move from Audit/Practice
  • Experience working with, influencing and challenging both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Maintains and demonstrates financial awareness and current knowledge imparting an appreciation of the financial consequences flowing from commercial decisions, internal policy changes and exogenous factors
