We are seeking a
Business Unit Lead to support our ETHICON Endomech and Energy business in the UK.


Purpose of the role


Lead a high-performing team to develop and deliver a robust sales and marketing plan which delivers strong sustainable growth for the ETHICON Endomech and Energy business in the UK.

It will be critical to work with the cross functional team to implement the plan for 2024/2025, strong growth strategies and continue to shape the rapidly changing environment to prepare for the launch of new technologies.

The role requires strong strategic and operational skills alongside a passion for talent development.


Required Duties and Responsibilities

:


  • GB cluster lead for endomech and energy (EMNRG) platforms, sets strategy in UK in alignment with regional and global direction, also drives national execution for these platforms.
  • Develop consolidated plans for short term and longterm growth in the ETHICON EMNRG Platforms in the UK.
  • Drive business growth by flawlessly implementing the plan, while continuing to seek opportunities to grow the business by translating customer and market insights into valuebased opportunities.
  • Part of the GB Ethicon LT, works closely with experienced Leadership Team members to assess, influence, and shape the external environment. This includes partnering with hospital trusts, and health boards, private hospital groups, industry & trade associations, payers, professional societies, and patient advocacy groups and KOLs as well as seeking and implementing internal and external partnership opportunities.
  • Partners with the UK WCBB BUL, Strategic Capabilities, and the Commercial Excellence teams to assist in the development of national commercial strategies for the designated platforms / specialties.
  • Direct & monitor financial and budget activities to achieve financial goals. This includes partnering with Finance; owning and managing the P&L; conducting financial planning, analysis and modelling and anticipating trends and making key decisions that impact short
- and long-term financial performance.

  • Ensure alignment with the Global and EMEA Strategic Marketing plans and work to understand and consider opportunities from other markets when planning and implementing business strategies.
  • Owns the professional society and patient advocacy stakeholder relationships and partnerships for designated specialties.
  • GB/Ireland cluster lead for designated target specialties (thoracic, colorectal, gynae, general surgery and coordinated bariatrics) sets strategy for these specialties in UK/Ireland in alignment with regional and global direction and drives national execution. Connects with WCBB BUL and GI BUD to influence these specialties.
  • Develop meaningful partnerships with peers in EMEA/Global organisation to ensure collaboration, sharing and leveraging of best practice and ensuring cross country talent development and mobility.
  • Inspire, motivate, and influence others across the organisation by creating a culture of collaboration; performance, agility and bold business initiatives providing development opportunities for colleagues' through the organisation.
  • Ensuring a strong talent pipeline to ensure business success; continuity and leadership succession and build organisational capability; structure and processes necessary to manage current and projected growth.
  • Always conduct business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience

:

Experienced Sales and Marketing leader with a track record of delivering results in challenging business environments

BA/BSC. Masters, MBA, or PhD preferred

Experience of leading a commercial organisation with P&L responsibility is essential

An outstanding demonstrable history of leadership and results, coupled with a performance driven approach in the medical device industry.
