    Description

    This role involves overseeing the provision of VAT services and supporting clients to minimise their VAT liabilities, addressing compliance issues and providing tax planning advice.

    We are flexible regarding location within Scotland.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Compile data from previous VAT returns to complete current VAT returns
    • Identify discrepancies in reconciliations, investigate causes, and provide resolutions
    • Monitor the VAT workflow for a large client base
    • Collaborate with the wider JC business to understand VAT issues and provide guidance and advice to resolve them
    • Build strong relationships with clients, representing the firm to a high standard
    • Work closely with the tax team to attract new business opportunities and grow the firm's VAT client portfolio through networking events

    About You:

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others
    • Previous experience or involvement in a business development environment is required
    • Relevant experience in a practice environment or a similar role is essential
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • A leader who takes ownership of your work and professional development

    Salary:

    $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
