TPF Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced and successful firm of chartered accountants in Horsham who are searching for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team.

Based in Horsham, this chartered accountancy firm represents a diverse range ofclients in a variety of industries, including single traders, partnerships, and limited companies, SMEs, and a considerable number of larger corporates with turnovers in excess of £40 million.

As a result, a wide range of clients can be used to shape clientwork and portfolios based on the skill set, preferences, and motivations of the suitable personnel.


You will manage a broad portfolio, managing a client portfolio, comprising a wide range of business sectors, as an Accounts & Tax Manager in the firm's Horsham office.

This will be done with a focus on accounts/tax and overall service supply for a wide rangeof clients.

You'll manage and oversee the delivery of accounting, taxes, and other services, as well as providing business advice, while also managing employees, workload, and budgets, and collaborating with partners on a variety of advisory project work.

In addition, you will be responsible for developing the team, working as a major support to the partner designate, cultivating client relationships, and looking to expand and improve the firm's customer base and department.

As an Accounts & Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
  • Your responsibilities will be across Accounts Preparation and Tax assignments.
  • Responsibility for organising and planning the workload across the team.
  • Working with the Partner; settingbudgets, negotiating fees and monitoring the billings.
  • Supervise, support and train less experienced members of the team.
  • You will play an active role in developing and building your own portfolio.

Requirements - ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a manager in a general practice environment
  • Experience of being running your own portfolio.

Benefits £38,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
