Security Manager

What will you be doing?
The Security manager will have latitude for making decisions, guided by functional objectives and resource availability in discussion with the department director

Contributions will include project management, responsibility for financial performance (cost control and/or some aspects of income) and/or input into planning and policy development.

The Security Manager will also plan, and have executed, appropriate internal and external audits of the organisation in a harmonised manner as required by the project and provide a managerial overview and review of the reports received prior to onwardtransmittal throughout the project.

Strong interpersonal skills. Able to engage credibly within and external to the business.
Ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels
Expert knowledge of NISR 2003, and UK Nuclear Industry Security Assessment Principles (SyAPS).
Good awareness of associated Nuclear Industry groups, documents and frameworks such as the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS National Objectives, Requirements and Model Standards (NORMS) and Security Policy frameworks,)
Strong presentation and communication skills - able to present at multiple organisational levels and to external regulatory stakeholders
A strong and credible decision maker, able to create confidence through crafting of strong justifications and arguments
Experience in supervising & managing smaller teams
Recognised as a Security Professional, ideally in the Nuclear (or related) Industry
Extensive experience within the UK regulatory environment
Extensive experience of regulatory and external stakeholder engagement
Experience and technical knowledge of nuclear safety design and security management
