This is a demanding role - our classroom-based courses are fast-paced and no two days are the same. Our courses are delivered in community locations across the North East. ...delivering high quality teaching in a group, ensuring full compliance with awarding body standards, funding agency requirements and Ofsted.

...ensuring that your learners progress well and experience high levels of satisfaction throughout their programme.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Delivery of maths and English Functional Skills from Entry 1 to Level
  • Embedding of maths and English in vocational curricula, according to needs of learners
  • Contributing to curriculum development and schemes of learning
  • Planning of quality learning activities as per the model of delivery including flexibility to adapt to learner need
  • Implementation of agreed initial assessment process
  • Offering good Information, Advice and Guidance to learners
  • Delivering timely completions that are of the required standard
  • Preparing learners for external examinations and assessments up to Level 2 Functional Skills
  • Following Safeguarding, Prevent and British Value policies and processes and promoting all during delivery

Knowledge, experience and skills required:


  • Maths and English qualifications to at least Level
  • Teaching Qualification minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training
  • Digital Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently under own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Commitment to providing high quality learning for all

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
