Senior Interior Designer to join a
London based design studio in North West London.

The Role:

As
Senior Interior Designer you will be working closely with the founder/ creative director and associate designer.

You will take a proactive approach to the delivery of both the design information and the project, the organisation of the design and comfortably lead the project from concept through to completion.


In addition to possessing first rate design skills, you should be confident in liaising with clients and consultants, managing programme/ budgets on a daily basis and have experience with motivating your team.


Responsibilities:


  • Ability to lead project(s) from concept creation through to design development and implementation
  • Leading the team in conceiving the design of the project to meet client's program, quality objectives and project constraints
  • Liaise between the creative director and design team during the design process
  • Implementation of creative ideas into technically sound design
  • Strong ability to produce detailed and accurate drawing packages, plans, sections, elevations, and details including joinery packages for manufacturers and contractors mindful of manufacturing costs, appropriate materials, and hardware selections
  • Strong ability to work with external CGI consultants.
  • Effectively communicate changes to deliver the best in imagery to sell to client
  • Extensive knowledge of interior systems and construction
  • Ability to specify and organise finishes, FF&E and lighting schedules
  • Review contractor shop drawings and communicate with manufacturers effectively and efficiently with understanding of budget constraints or opportunities
  • Coordinate and liaise effectively with consultants including MEP, lighting consultants etc.
  • Awareness of budget and value engineering where necessary
  • Experience in site visits or manufacturer visits
  • Build and grow existing client and supplier relationships
  • Ensure studio standards are executed within all design documentation
  • You will take ownership on live projects and ensure deliverables for each phase are completed with high accuracy and in a timely manner.

Skills Required:


  • Minimum six years' experience working in highend residential/commercial/hospitality projects locally and abroad or managing projects remotely
  • Degree qualified in interior design, interior architect, or architecture qualification
  • Excellent 2 D drawing skills (AutoCAD).
  • Digital skills to produce presentations (Adobe Creative Suite
  • InDesign and Photoshop)
  • 3D skills (SketchUp, hand sketching) to be able to study spatial design
  • Experience leading multiple projects and design teams.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office skills to be able to set up and maintain schedules and specification sheets
  • Experience in custom furniture design
  • Knowledge of European supplier market essential
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally
  • British Citizen or appropriate working permit essential
