Our retail banking client has an exciting opportunity for a full time and permanent Programme Specialist to work onsite in Birmingham (flexible hybrid) with their Emerging Talent team.

You will work closely with the wider Learning and Development community, particularly the Emerging Talent Development team, to develop and deliver an exceptional on-Programme experience for Graduates.

This is a fabulous opportunity for someone who is passionate about engaging with a variety of different teams, wants to produce great experiences and contribute directly to the development of Graduates.

What does a "day in the life" of my new team look like?

  • You'll develop an onprogramme experience and development strategy that helps to build a compelling and consistent Graduate brand for the retail banking client.
  • You'll design and implement a calendar of development activity that brings together Graduates.
  • You'll maintain and develop excellent, mutually beneficial relationships with key external stakeholders such as delivery providers.
  • You'll build and develop relationships with the wider Emerging Talent, Learning and Development team and key business stakeholders.
  • You'll ensure the Graduates are developing the right skills and competencies in line with the Graduate criteria and business future skill needs.
  • You'll maintain appropriate records and share accurate data as required by the business.
  • You'll arrange for lanyards and laptops to be ordered and ready for the Graduates joining the business.
  • You'll work closely with functional managers to ensure Graduates progression is in line with expectations of the business and supporting Graduates where required.
  • You'll support the Graduates and business through their rotations to ensure all the Graduates successfully complete their programme and are ready for their next role.

What do I need to succeed in this role?

  • Capability to develop an understanding of the Graduate programme.
  • You'll have built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships with stakeholders based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.
  • You can work autonomously and use initiative to undertake a wide range of tasks, asking questions when required.
  • You've got experience in developing and supporting talent.
  • Knowledge of development strategies for Graduates and knowledge of attraction, recruitment, and development strategies for nonGraduates.
  • You can work as part of a larger team and be flexible to changing demands and priorities.
  • You can manage a varied and challenging workload and have strong prioritisation skills.
  • You will have hands on management of coaching talent.

Who will I be working with?


The team is made up of the Emerging Talent Development Lead, Graduate Operations Lead, 5 Programme Specialists, and 2 Coordinators.

This leads to a very intimate team who cross collaborate, support each other, and communicate frequently. You'll also work with closely with wider teams across the business. You'll also be a part of the wider AMS emerging talent team.

Today we partner with a portfolio of 19 clients globally and will have supported almost 26,000 hires through our outsourcing services and completed 17 advisory projects consulting on early careers strategy, process, technologies, assessment and brand and attraction in the season.
