Position Summary and Responsibilities:


  • This is a key role within the Chelmsford Logistics organisation that oversees Chelmsford's
  • Finished Goods,
- line-side delivery,

  • Packing
  • Goods Inwards.
  • Coordinate domestic shipments
  • Work closely with the Shipping team to ensure all customer requirements are met.


The main purpose of this role will be to: push continuous improvements in logístical performance, assessing and manoeuvring resource against business requirements, drivers for workloads, put in place a robust control of health and safety, physical inventory and material flows.


Main Accountabilities
Manage and develop teams of employees. Monitor the KPI's, activity and improve performance. Manage the Inbound RMA's within the Logistics area, look to improve the process.
Ensure the safety of persons and the integrity of the products under the responsibility of the logistics.
Structure and monitor staff to instil a sense of continuous improvement and customer service whether internal or external.

Lead the Multi-skilled logistics resource to succeed in their leadership responsibilities, assisting with barriers and decision making.- Manage good relationship with external and internal customers.- Question the drivers for activity within the functions and challenge these activities; liasing with the business at largeCoordinate the operations of physical flows, receipt, storage, preparation and delivery of manufacturing orders, order picking, optimizing the quality / cost / time.

- Manage ad hoc projects and continuous improvement projects as required
Qualifications:

  • Experience in warehouse management.
  • Leadership and people management experience an advantage.
  • Must be dynamic, determined, persistent and robust.
  • Experience of operating in a manufacturing organisation in a complex and international context
  • Continuous improvement and processoriented quality mindset
  • Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
  • Used to working to deadlines and able to prioritise workload under pressure
  • Good understanding and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • Good working knowledge of MS office products (Excel advanced user, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
