Frontline is England's largest children's social work charity.

Our mission is to create social change for children and their families by developing excellent social work practice and leadership through our programmes, and by building a movement of leaders in social work and broader society as part of our Fellowship.

Frontline values the contributions of those with lived experience to all our programmes and across our organisation.

To ensure that our teaching and work is informed by lived experience, we work closely with experts by experience, who have experience of social care intervention and other support services.

Since Frontline began in 2014, we have worked closely in partnership with Experts by Experience across the programme.

Examples of work completed by Experts by Experience includes (but is not limited to): teaching, policy review, pastoral care for other Experts by Experience, curriculum review and creation, assessment review, and strategic planning.

The voice of those with lived experience contributing to the governance and oversight of our Frontline programme and curriculum is essential, therefore we are looking to recruit members to our Expert by Experience Strategic Steering Group.

This Strategic Steering Group will be made up of 4 Experts by Experience and several Frontline staff members.

The broad purpose of this group is to:

Provide a forum for sharing feedback on areas of strength and development on the Frontline programme from the perspective of individuals with lived experience
Contribute to the strategic oversight and review of the Frontline programme and curriculum including delivery
Champion and help implement the Expert by Experience voice within the programme and promote opportunities for collaboration

We are looking to increase diversity in ethnicity, ability/disability, neurodiversity, and sexual and gender orientation amongst our Experts by Experience.

We are therefore particularly looking for people who identify as:

Racially minoritised
Disabled
Neurodivergent
LGBTQIA+
Religious/spiritual.
