Situated in Peterlee, Dene House Primary School is an ambitious, friendly, and welcoming school; one of seven schools forming the Tudhoe Learning Trust.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join us for a period of up to 18 months.

The role is based in Dene House Primary School and the role is offered at 32.5 hours per week and on a term-time basis.

As an apprentice you will develop skills, knowledge and experience of working within Education and you will also develop:

  • Underpinning theories and philosophical approaches to how children learn and develop
  • The importance of children's holistic development i.e. speech, language, communication etc.
  • Why Health and Wellbeing is important
  • Safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Have 4 GCSE's at Grades A-C/94 (including English and Maths) or hold an equivalent and relevant qualification
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of situations and with people at all levels
  • Be reliable, flexible who has passion for working in schools
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Feel comfortable working with 4 and 5 year olds
  • Be working with SEND children

Job Types:
Full-time, Apprenticeship


Salary:
£4.81 per hour
