If you join us you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in: Supporting the nursing staff on the ward with pre and post -operatively.

Our patient group would be undergoing surgery with in the following specialities:
Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, General Surgery, ENT, and maxillofacial surgeries. Assisting in the discharge planning for patients to facilitate safe transfer from hospital to home. Work alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team, including different teams ie theatre, recovery, and day surgery, administration teams.

You will work as a part of the Multidisciplinary Team with additional support from our Clinical Practice Educator, and Nurse Specialists and ward managers.

Band 2 elective Surgical Ward nursing assistant, to support ward nurses with the day to day care of elective surgical patient on a busy Surgical Ward.

The successful staff should be able to work along side nurses providing patients with their activities of daily living. Carrying out vital signs observations. Adhering to the trust policies and procedures. Upholding professional standards and being flexible, approachable and hardworking.
