At Wincanton, we are currently recruiting for Class One Drivers to join us as we launch a new operation in Northampton (Brackmills)


This is an exciting opportunity to join a team from the start, grow and be part of a great business.

The roles are predominantly
AM working, 2 weeks rotating; start times between 04:00 and 08:00 . You will make deliveries from the distribution centre to our customer's stores.
Contracted hours are 45 per week .

Basic hourly rate is £39,312 per annum

Additional payments for 6th shifts worked.

  • We also offer a bonus scheme to a maximum of 6% of basic pay, paid monthly. _

How will you contribute?

  • Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers' products.
  • Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
  • Carry out multidrop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
  • Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
  • Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.

What will you bring?

  • Must have valid in date Class 1 licence
  • Must have valid in date CPC
  • Must hold Digital tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge
