Reed Accountancy are working with a well-known Halifax employer who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant initially on a - 6 month temp contract.


Location:
HX5


Pay:
£11 - £13


Hours of work:
Flexible, full time

Office based


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to Sales Ledger (customer set up, credit checks, releasing orders, sending copy invoices, sending statements, following up on overdues, assist in reducing aged debt)
  • Provide assistance to Purchase Ledger (invoice coding & posting, supplier statements, resolving queries)
  • Assist with analysis requests, such as for yearend audit and tax computations
  • Assisting in the month end process, including prepayments/accruals, journal posting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
  • Assist with adhoc tasks within the department
Additional Information

  • SAP knowledge preferable


  • Good Excel skills

  • Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative, or as part of a team
  • Ability to be flexible and help in all areas within the team
  • Excellent communication skills
