Reed Accountancy are working with a well-known Halifax employer who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant initially on a - 6 month temp contract.

Hours of work:
Flexible, full time
Office based
Key responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to Sales Ledger (customer set up, credit checks, releasing orders, sending copy invoices, sending statements, following up on overdues, assist in reducing aged debt)
- Provide assistance to Purchase Ledger (invoice coding & posting, supplier statements, resolving queries)
- Assist with analysis requests, such as for yearend audit and tax computations
- Assisting in the month end process, including prepayments/accruals, journal posting
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
- Assist with adhoc tasks within the department
- SAP knowledge preferable
- Good Excel skills
- Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative, or as part of a team
- Ability to be flexible and help in all areas within the team
- Excellent communication skills
