Description

The Mounts Medical Centre is a busy town centre practice requiring additional staff to join our experienced existing teams.

This Role is for 8.00am -4.00 pm Monday - Friday
The reception team provides support to our patients in the many different ways.


To excel in this role you need to be able to speak to patients that are distressed or angry with a calm manner.


  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring enquiries.
  • Optimises patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilisation by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, reminding provider of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges, filing.
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

Receptionist Monday-Friday


For this role, you will be require to do all of the above as well as focusing on contacting patients to give test results, instructions from the GP, advice on when blood tests are required etc.


Administrator 37.5hours flexible between Monday - Friday.


The admin clerk will provides support to our GP's in the many different ways and help in the upkeep of patient's records.

To thrive in this role you will enjoy a challenge and work closely with the surgery team.

Our patients expect a high standard of service, therefore working as a team to meet and manage these expectations is important.

To allocate reports to GP's for action

  • To scan incoming post for action by the GP's
  • To answer any queries relating to administration
  • Strict adherence to patient confidentiality at all times
  • Liaise with external agencies
  • Undertake any training as required
  • Data entry onto patient records
  • Skills/Qualifications:

Salary:
£10.50 per hour
