Description
Following significant growth, a leading manufacturing business has a new vacancy for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor. With experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment you will have a good understanding of health and safety policies.

Commutable from:
Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, Middlewich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport.


Salary:
£ 40,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for:
Senior HSE Advisor, HSE Officer, HSE Advisor, EHS Officer, EHS Advisor, Health and Safety Officer, Health and Safety Advisor, H&S Officer, H&S Advisor

The Role

Develop and maintain systems to drive compliance and accident prevention.
Provide expertise to proactively address near miss occurrences.

Provide technical expertise and participate in injury / incident investigations to assist in identifying root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.

Manage EHS action databases to ensure the location remains in line with plans.
Select and manage PPE requirements.
Develop, review and facilitate EHS related training.
Assess, evaluate, eliminate / minimise risks collaboratively with employees using technical knowledge of EHS regulations.
Coordinate the development of systems to ensure metrics are accurate and timely.
Ensure all areas work are to legislative guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Create and deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to improve awareness of responsibilities and competency in managing health and safety.

The Person

Previous experience within fast-paced manufacturing or highly regulated environment
Minimum of bachelor's degree in related discipline
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Health and safety position
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
Must be highly organised and able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
