Part Time, 12 month FTC (24.5 hours per week)


2 week rota - (week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday)


(week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

(9am - 4:30pm)


Salary:
£20, £21,318.00 per annum (dependant on experience)

Here at Serco we're looking for a Porter Dispatcher to join us at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.

The key purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive, quality, efficient and cost-effective Porter Despatching service within the whole of the Hospital, in line with contractual requirements ensuring patient care and customer service being at the forefront of service provision.

Main Accountabilities


Ensure that all Portering tasks are despatched in a professional and competent manner to maintain an efficient and effective service.

Ensure all tasked despatched via Portertrac are correctly accepted, started and completed in accordance with SLA's
Support the Patient Ambassador/Service Manager or Soft Service's Lead to ensure the full service is compliant with the site ISO Regulations, quality and environmental policies;
Performance targets are always to be met in line with agreed standards;
Assist with maintaining appropriate records in line with service delivery
Ensure all HSE initiatives are managed proactively to ensure a safe working environment;
Escalate all and any risks to the Patient Ambassador and/or Service Manager;
Undertake any other tasks/duties as identified by the Patient Ambassador, Service Manager or Soft Services Lead.

What you'll need to do the role

Ability to prioritise and cope with high and varied workload.
Ability to work under pressure
Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal written / verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality and improving processes.
Flexible, adaptable and embraces change.
Professional demeanour, high level of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and ability to use and monitor multiple systems at once
Demonstrate previous experience in similar role within a customer orientated health care or hospitality environment.
Experience in working in a KPI driven service with delivery outcomes,
Experience and knowledge of the Portering or Helpdesk contact centre environment advantageous.
