Our client is looking for an experienced Legal Costs Draftsperson in Manchester.
Applicants must have relevant experience in drafting bills of costs and negotiating costs ideally in Personal Injury work. Experience of dealing with Catastrophic PI work would be an advantage.

The firm is recruiting for several members of staff with varying levels of experience from 1years experience to 20+ years.

Responsibilities/Duties:

To provide an effective, timely and efficient service to the firm's clients.
Communicate with clients of the department in a professional and courteous manner.
To ensure excellent service standards and maintain high client satisfaction.
To manage your own caseload.
To keep up to date with all aspects of the law relating to costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules.
To take on work as allocated to you in a variety Personal Injury, Court of Protection, Commercial and Solicitor/Client matters, including;
Bills of Costs
Replies and/or Points of Dispute
Costs Budgets
Negotiations
Advices

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience of drafting Costs Budgets and familiarity with complex multitrack litigation.
Experience of negotiations / Costs Management Advocacy
Knowledge of Proclaim (desired but not essential)
Excel literate to a good standard
Working effectively within a team
