Key Responsibilities:


Project Support works to assist project managers with the coordination of resources, equipment, paperwork, and information for the manufacturing production staff.

They provide day to day support to the project management team to ensure the key responsibilities are met.

It's their job to aid the flow of information required for production to ensure the projects are able to be organised and that things run as efficiently as possible.

This can include communicating with various departments in the organisation and spending time on the shop floor to monitor component progress & report production updates.


Desired Competencies:


  • Provide proactive and efficient project support and coordination to all Project Managers.
  • Engages and shares information with internal colleagues (Purchasing Manager, Production Manager, Leading hands, Shop floor staff)
  • Able to interpret drawings & input information onto the Company Production Control Software System
  • Progress Plus.
  • Creation of job pack information and dissemination.
  • Effectively book in new drawings or laminate manuals & updating the company Drawing registers as applicable, following the correct process & procedures.
  • Updating & up issuing information when & where required.
  • Scanning & saving Job pack information on completion & updating Progress Plus accordingly.
  • Project procurement, obtain quotations, lead times and place orders / raising PO's with suppliers on project specific requirements.
  • Chasing shortages & purchased items ensuring update communication to the team members.
  • Regularly updating and maintaining the Outstanding Purchase Orders on the system, liaising with the Project Team.
  • Regularly updating and maintaining the Sales Orders Outstanding on the system, liaising with the Project Team.
  • Provide administrative support to Project & Office members as and when required.
  • Upload customer information to specified online portals as required.
  • Working with team members on the shop floor who have project issues

Knowledge/Experience:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Competent experience in using a Production Control Software System
  • Good knowledge of Composite Manufacturing processes & procedures.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings & laminate manuals.
  • Experience of organising, prioritisation and problem solving

Job Types:

£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
