Description

You will work with our Rotorblade Technicians who travel to sites across GB to inspect and repair rotor blades on ENERCON Wind Turbines.

Your role is to provide essential fire risk observation at ground level.

You will also be responsible for communicating closely with our in-house technical team, via radio, whilst the technicians are carrying out works on the turbine.

The role is temporary until end of July with a possibility of a longer term contract in the future. You will work on a rota basis of 12 days on, and 2 days off. You will be required to travel and your accommodation will be arranged by ENERCON. In addition to your pay, you will also be eligible to claim mileage and overnight allowances.

Role and Responsibilities:

Work as part of the Rotorblade Team, liaising closely with Rotorblade Technicians on site.
Provide close observation of works from the ground, providing safety eyes and ears for the team. Communicate closely with the inhouse technical team to receive and pass on technical instructions to the team on the turbine
Maintain radio communication between site technicians and inhouse technical support.
Travel to and from various locations across Great Britain. Accommodation, mileage and expenses are paid.

Key Qualities that we look for

Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
Highly vigilant and acute awareness of site risks and safety procedures
Flexible and adaptable towards meeting tight deadlines and working overtime between now and the end of July
Adhere to correct processes and follow instructions with care
Completion of your Fire Risk Assessment Course (advantageous)
Knowledge and experience of Fire Risk Awareness (advantageous)
Ability to operate a fire extinguisher
Ability to work outdoors

What we offer you
Your rate will be up to £15.00 per hour

In addition, you will receive an overnight allowance of up to £42 per night

You will be required to use you own vehicle for travel but will be paid mileage

The rota is 12 days on and 2 days off

The contract is temporary until 31 July 2024, with the possibility of contract extension

An immediate start is required

A one day training course for Fire Safety Awareness will be provided
