Seven Social Care is working with Birmingham City Council to recruit a Contracts Work Officer for their service in Mole Street Offices.

Initial 3 month contract.

£14.83ph PAYE or £17.29ph Umbrella.


Job Purpose:

To support with Carbon Neutral.

An ability to diagnose building faults and prepare schedules of work.

The ability to manage contracts and contractors including:

  • Managing the Client/Contractor relationship Performance measurement.

Duties:

Communication skills to enable you to relate to employees and customers and negotiate with Contractors and other organisations. I Skills & Ability e.g. written communication skills, dealing with the public etc. Written communication skills to enable youto write reports and letters.

Knowledge of the current Building Regulations.

AF/I A commitment to the delivery of the highest quality of service with an emphasis on the importance of the customers' varied needs.

This will include consultation with residents and translation of their needsinto practical solutions.

A building qualification or comparable level of technical experience/knowledge relating to property repair and maintenance.

Training/Education/ Qualifications NB:
Full regard must be paid to overseas qualifications.

Qualification to ONC/B Tech in Building Services or City and Guilds London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


An understanding of the Institute of Electrical Engineers Regulations, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use Regulations) and other Engineering Service Regulations.


Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    Qualification to ONC/B Tech in Building Services or City and Guilds London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience: An understanding of the Institute of Electrical Engineers Regulations, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use Regulations) and other Engineering Service Regulations.
  • Compliance: Up to date Passport and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
