Accounts Administrator - (Manchester or Chichester)

What can you expect:

Reporting directly to the Treasury Manager, you'll provide a reliable, high standard Treasury service to all clients. You'll play a crucial role as you'll also be undertaking peer review responsibilities within the team.

We will rely on you to:

  • To complete an audit of payments, ensuring that the necessary documents/evidence as required by the Disbursement Audit Documentation Table are attached to the case.
  • To ensure that all payments are authorised in accordance with the daily deadlines.
  • Review all bank reconciliations, ensuring items are matched and any anomalies are dealt with in a timely manner and sign off completed rec's on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure any outstanding debits are resolved within a week of them appearing on the rec's in line with Treasury policy
  • To monitor BACS files via SmarterPay software and send any failed files following BACS File sending Process Document.
  • To bank all cheques received following the necessary Treasury processes.
  • To print, process and send Cheque payments following the necessary Treasury processes.
  • Complete the submission of the quarterly Accounting for Tax Returns via HMRC online for those schemes that require it following the AFT Return process document.
  • Complete/Peer review monthly PPA Calculations following the process documents for each scheme.

What you need to have:


  • Grade A-C (or equivalent) in Mathematics & English
  • Previous financial / banking / pensions experience
  • Microsoft Office product knowledge (Excel & Word)
