Who are we?


Founded in 2010, Leecliffe Big Local is a resident-led charity funded by the National Lottery and overseen by Local Trust.

Clarion Housing Group, which owns and manages more than 5,000 homes across Hertsmere, works with Leecliffe Big Local to support andadvise on the allocation of funding and the delivery of projects.


Leecliffe Big Local is received £1m in Lottery funding overt 10 years, with local residents allocating the funding to help improve their community, from training and employment schemes to tackling anti-social behaviour, creating new community facilitiesor providing activities for young people.


What you'll be doing
We're looking for
Volunteer Coordinator to manage all elements of volunteering on behalf of Leecliffe Big local (LBL). You'll recruit, train, support and accredit volunteers, managing relationships with those they meet.

Working with theLeecliffe partnership, employees, partners and the community you'll identify and develop volunteering opportunities and projects in line with the Leecliffe Big local plan.


What you'll need
We're looking for an empathic and organised individual with experience of coordinating projects and volunteers. You'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of developing volunteer training and support.

You'll have the capacityto motivate and inspire volunteers to engage with projects and develop ideas and will also have excellent negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills.

An understanding of the Local Trust Big Local programme would also be beneficial for the role.
