Introduction:


The operations maintenance scheduler will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Planning activity, researching the repair manual for all repairs included in our Statement of Work and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the right equipment, tooling, materials and expertise are on hand for a successful maintenance input with 100% defect clearance.

Providing agile support for emergent defects will be a key part of the role, as well as providing expertise to support our planning team to reschedule emergent tasking to aid progress reporting and metrics.


Responsibilities:


  • Working with the Maintenance Planners to accept Statements of Work from the Mil-CAMO
  • Ensuring all defects are fully understood and prepared for
  • Liaising with MilCAMO and Delivery Teams to propose repair solutions
  • Drafting comprehensive technical enquiries to proactively find solutions
  • Providing direct support to the teams executing the defect repairs
  • Interfacing with programme and functions to support capability Managing the integration of emerging and scheduled work to meet agreed schedules
  • Controlling and sequencing the workload, based on emerging requirements, to prevent conflict of work streams and maintain the overall flow of work to the planned schedule
  • Ensuring schedule milestones are achieved on time, or impacts/issues escalated to the Operations manager
  • Adopting a collaborative approach to their work and ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted by their teams

Work Authorisation:

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.


Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) for which UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.


Qualifications:


  • Able to understand and communicate technical requirements to multiple stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • Military or Civil Aircraft Maintenance experience
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training programme
  • Extensive experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training programme
  • Extensive Aircraft maintenance experience, preferably in a base maintenance environment
  • Aircraft certification experience within an aircraft maintenance repair organisation (MRO)
  • Demonstrable project management / Key Stakeholder experience.
  • Experience in the implementation of Lean techniques
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office with the ability to compile and present reports of a technical nature
  • Highly competent written and verbal communication skills essential.
