An exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to build on their marketing knowledge in a fast-paced global B2B media company that reaches the Ports and Terminals industry.

This is an exciting role with the opportunity to develop marketing skills including but not limited to; partnership development, lead generation, analysis & reporting, social media and content marketing.

You will report into the Marketing Manager with your focus initially on event marketing. Understanding the market, finding the best partners to work with, and securing media partnerships. Then building out social media to help support the ongoing marketing event plans.

In addition to this, PTI offers monthly webinars, a Ports and Terminals technical journal published bi-monthly and a No 1 website for news, technical content and sourcing suppliers.


The Port Technology journal is the only technical preview and review of advanced technologies for ports, harbours and terminals world-wide.

Each edition features over 30 technical papers written by leading industry professionals, which reflect emerging trends and technical advances that enhance efficiency and increase productivity in ports and terminals.


The maritime industry sits at the centre of the global economy, and ports and terminals are vital to ensuring the safe passage of goods across the supply chain.

Massive technological changes mean now is a great time to enter the industry, with the biggest ports, terminal operators, carriers and logistics firms investing heavily to connect cities, countries and regions through the power of trade.


The Role:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and ambitious individual capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, demonstrating attention for detail and delivering results.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, test and implement successful marketing campaigns
  • Develop strategies and tactics to get generate interest in our events and drive qualified leads to our sales team
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website that attracts and converts sponsors/delegates.
  • Run a gap analysis after marketing briefs
  • Come up with creative solutions to fill data gaps and optimise data build projects
  • Analyse campaign performance, make recommendations and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with graphic designer to produce promotional materials
  • Perform research on current social media trends
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimise campaign success and ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with social media followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor comments
  • Suggest and implement new social media features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

To be successful, you will:

  • Be a quick learner and able to pick up relatively complex systems and processes quickly
  • Have excellent time management and communication skills
  • Have a high degree of organisational skills, attention to detail and administrative skills
  • Be able to work effectively with people across the business
  • Be a team player and happy to help the team where necessary
  • Have a willingness to develop, learn and take independent responsibility
  • Have digital marketing experience using tools like Google Analytics

Desired but not required experience in:

  • Pardot and Salesforce
  • WordPress
  • Paid Social Channels

£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
