The Team
The Sustainability team has global responsibility for the development and commercial success of Sustainability indices within S&P Dow Jones Indices, a leading global index provider.
The Sustainability team is comprised of experts in the interaction between ESG and investment theory. The team has a global presence, with colleagues spread throughout Europe, North America, and Asia.The Impact
We are looking for a summer analyst to join the ESG team to contribute to team projects and develop an understanding within the exciting growth area of ESG and passive investing.

The investment industry is undergoing a large structural shift from active to index-based investing, while increasing its awareness of ESG - this position is right in the centre of these high growth areas.
Working with colleagues to produce resources on the ESG market landscape
Bringing to life large datasets and presenting findings to internal stakeholders
Undertaking research projects on current and future ESG indices
Assisting the team with requests from both internal and external partners
Help develop quantitative & automated tools to understand the ESG characteristics of our indices;
Conduct careful analysis on large datasets and be able to extract important conclusions/recommendations and explain those to various stakeholders;
What we're looking for
Skilled in Python programming language;
Progress towards a bachelor's degree in field with significant quantitative exposure (e.g. maths, computer science, finance or economics);
Strong Excel skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team;
Fluent written and spoken English.
