Investigo are working with a leading Real Estate organisation in Canary Wharf to recruit an Intercompany Accountant role within the Group Finance department.

This is a wide ranging role covering all of the internal activities of the group.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of controls over the various different types of intercompany invoicing in the Yardi accounting system across the group's ~500 subsidiaries, including review of supporting documents, authorisations and execution of the invoicingprocess. This covers rents, service charges, administrative recharges, development and construction management fees etc.
  • Control over the Yardi elimination routine for consolidations. Establishing and maintaining intercompany pairing lists. Preparation of quarterly narrative report on the Elimination Segment and Book.
  • Review of intercompany code parings, together with investigation and resolution of any mismatches. Liaising with teams across the accounts department to ensure future mismatches do not occur.
  • Preparation of analyses of intercompany positions as required.
  • Responsibility for preparation and execution of intercompany loans, including formal loan documentation, interest calculations and accounting schedules.
  • Assisting the financial accounts team with the execution of various intercompany accruals.
  • Execution of annual intercompany dividend cycle.
  • Liaison with the Group's external auditors as part of the year end and interim financial statement process.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Person Specification:

  • Must be computer literate with the ability to adapt to new software products. Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Must have a firm grasp of accounting principles and demonstrable experience of double entry bookkeeping in a group environment.
  • Must have experience of large reconciliations and related accounting functions. Experience of a high volume environment is preferred.
  • Must be collaborative in order to build relationships across the organisation with a strong sense of team work.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and agility to work across a range of areas is critical.
  • Must be able to take ownership of tasks, bear responsibility for work produced. Must be able to demonstrate academic success.
