Introduction

Virtua UK are looking to complement its existing team with additional Wi-Fi Survey Engineers to support its continued growth across the UK.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to a Project Manager, the Surveyor will be responsible for conducting surveys and gathering onsite data to formulate into appropriate network solutions.

The roles and responsibilities of the Wi-Fi Surveyor include but are not limited to the below:

Key Activities:

Conduct passive and active wireless site surveys of both new and existing sites.
Conduct wireless surveys across a range of both indoor and outdoor deployments choosing the best tools for each scenario.
Conduct basic cabling surveys of new and existing fixed infrastructure to support cost estimates.
Produce active and passive site survey reports with clear explanation of key results.
Perform site hardware audits.

Required Experience and qualifications.

Experience of working within a Telecoms environment, specifically Wireless Networking
Vendor Survey tool Accreditation along with wireless Industry Accreditations.
Installation and project delivery experience
Ekahau predictive and post install surveys
Hands on in Wi-Fi network optimization for high density outdoor, warehouse, production units, stadiums, or enterprise environments.
Understanding of latest Wi-Fi technologies WiF6E, WiFi7 and aware of Wi-Fi industry standards and associations like WBA and WFA.
Experience in site survey tools like Air Magnet or Ekahau.
Managing wired and wireless networks (Aruba, Extreme, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
Knowledge of Microsoft products and databases.
Strong commercial acumen & communication skills (internal/external).
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet and/or exceed deadlines.
Full Driving License.
Selfstarter and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
