Knowledge of working with high volume production machinery?

Ideally have experience of Solidworks?

We are looking for a Project Engineer to work with our high volume manufacturing client.

This role will sit between R&D and Production ensuring that new projects and products can be transitioned from R&D through to Production as easily as possible.

You will come up with design engineering solutions and oversee the projects assigned to you such as development of manufacturing equipment or processes to support new product development, equipment validation, specification of capital equipment and upgradesto new/existing equipment and processes.

We are needing someone that has experience of machinery down to the core components - you will be responsible for all kinds of machine alterations to come up with bespoke solutions to my clients production machinery requirements.

This

will involve knowledge of PLC's, designing machinery, pneumatics, constructing and modifying parts lists, working on CAPEX projects and working on the validation of new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
Promote the development of quality standards within the business

Ensure projects are managed efficiently including parameters such as defining and meeting timescales, budget control and working within the wider business
Design and develop equipment and processes to support new product introduction
Validation, verification and qualification of new processes and equipment
Visit suppliers to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and to discuss alterations/modifications
Purchase new equipment where needed
Design of engineering parts and assemblies
