Senior Practitioner in Mental Health, Safeguarding and Domestic Violence.Salford Community Mental Health Service

This is an exciting and innovative role that requires someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, pragmatic and always put the person at the centre of everything they do.
Mental Health Safeguarding and Domestic Abuse Practitioner working across the community mental health teams (including Living Well) and Safe in Salford Domestic Abuse Service.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Provide mental health input and support information sharing in relation to children and adults at risk within the multi-agency safeguarding partnership.
- Contribute to case discussions at multidisciplinary panels.
- Ensure the needs of people at risk are identified and signposted to the relevant partners.
- Attend MARAC and other multi agency meetings and ensure appropriate introduction to the relevant service.
- Provide consultation and advice to frontline practitioners in domestic abuse services and community mental health services.
- Work across agencies to increase expertise around mental health needs, safeguarding and domestic abuse.
- Deliver training in mental health and domestic abuse to mental health teams and Safe in Salford
- Scope out the mental health needs and potential effective interventions for survivors and perpetrators of domestic abuse
