Job Description - Training Manager, Laurencekirk


Due to retirement, we require a full-time
Training Manager to manage the training department, along with growing the client portfolio and maximising the new training centre facilities in Laurencekirk.

The flexibility of Ringlink Services together with a national network of professional instructorsand assessors has allowed the company to deliver its training throughout the entire country, accredited to deliver Lantra, NPTC City & Guilds, NPORS, ELCAS and ITA courses, providing a complete training and assessment package for the entire UK market.


With over 20 years expertise in providing the highest quality training solutions - Ringlink Services Ltd are proud to be a trusted training provider at business level providing courses for local council authorities, government bodies and utility companies.

Typically, the business provides courses to approx trainees annually, with a training turnover of £1.5million.


The role:


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Manage and support a team of training coordinators
  • Set annual budgets and maintain relevant financial records
  • Tender for appropriate contracts using a variety of digital platforms
  • Manage training requirements for key clients
  • Liaise with National Training Organisations to ensure that qualifications are fit for purpose
  • Ensure that quality assurance is maintained and complies with accrediting bodies
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports for board presentation.
  • Review strategic objectives to maximise training opportunities
  • Review ongoing training requirements and ensure sufficient instructor capacity to meet demand
  • Understand the training requirements of the industry sectors together with the associated legislative and health and safety demands
  • Ensure that interoffice communication and functionality remains fit for purpose
  • Contribute and provide articles to marketing for promotional campaigns, social media and press releases

Our requirements:


  • An extensive background in bestinclass training delivery and/or learning and development best practice.
  • A knowledge of the landbased sector and/or related industries
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience preferred
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within the workplace
  • Experienced leader, who excels at motivating a team
  • Knowledge of teaching/mentoring and the ability to design courses
  • Excellent communication skills, someone who recognises the art of listening to client needs and strives to exceed their expectations
  • A self starter with a drive to succeed, you will relish a challenge
  • Highly organised, flexible and open to change
  • Computer literate ideally with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
