The role


We're currently seeking a Workplace Wellness Programme Lead to join the team at our Gloucester office, to lead and manage stakeholder engagement with the Workplace Wellbeing Programme services.

You will ensure that services are delivered on time, on budget and to a standard that consistently exceeds expectations.


You will be a senior player in shaping our future and leading our team, giving direction to our Healthy Lifestyle Coaches and Advisors for engagements within the community.

This is a part time role.


Key elements of the day-to-day role:
To lead and manage the workplace wellbeing programme within the Health and Lifestyle Services contract in Gloucestershire. To identify, recruit, and support business to achieve the Healthy Workplace Gloucestershire award.


Role specific purposes:

  • To ensure that workplaces, county wide, are aware of the Healthy Workplace Award and how they can get involved.
  • To drive positive engagement with businesses to raise the profile of health and wellbeing within the workplace and the important role that businesses play in providing a workplace that is supportive of their employee's overall health and wellbeing.
  • To recruit business into the programme and to support them to achieve accreditation.
  • To support business that have been accredited at foundation level, to move forward to enhanced level and to also revalidate after 2 years
To ensure HLS Gloucester receive the necessary number of workplaces onboard and completing the programme to sustain KPI achievement.


The person


You will need to be an independent self-starter, flexible and driven by a desire to help organisations positively support health and wellbeing.

You are willing to get out into the business community and to develop relationships, eager to understand how the business community works.


You will be a people-person, an enthusiast for how healthy lifestyles can impact positively on people's health, someone who is fantastic at building rapport with an ability to persuade.


You will be used to working towards outcome targets and you will have experience of project management and planning skills.


You must possess excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills - you will be highly skilled in building relationships and communicating at all levels.


Your ability to tell the right story, to the right person at the right time is key to this role.


Essential existing skills/experience
Public health; lifestyle services; behaviour change; social media/marketing; programme management.

Service Delivery across a range of healthy lifestyle services including smoking, physical activity, alcohol reduction, healthy eating, early years.

Knowledge of the current health landscape

Stakeholder management skills

Programme management skills

Highly organized, self-starter, with high energy and enthusiasm levels.

Professional Accountabilities and Responsibilities

External

  • Identify and seek out workplaces, with a focus in those with citizens who are in greatest need and from deprived community areas that would most benefit to reduce health inequalities.
  • Lead on the development of the programme, capturing user feedback and making recommendations on how the programme can be further developed
  • Be the first contact for workplace engagement and the face of the service for most workplacebased stakeholders.
  • Ensure an active marketing presence of programme within the business community, ensuring we reach out to a range of businesses.
  • Stakeholder relationships, analysis and development
  • Regular attendance at health and wellbeing meetings across the county as well as identifying and attending local partner meetings to discuss the Service
  • Communicate effectively with partners within the business, voluntary and community sectors, statutory services and other organisations.
  • Develop opportunities for coaches to work with business employees to support them to change their lifestyles
  • Increase the number of referrals into the lifestyle service for support with behavioural change

  • To have a robust understanding of all aspects of the Service
