University College London Hospital are on the lookout for a Pharmacy Distribution Assistant to join their hospital pharmacy as a part of a committed team.

Their busy and dynamic hospital pharmacy is closely involved in all stages of medicine use, from agreeing contracts for the purchase of medicines through to assessing their outcomes, and distributing vital drugs both to discharged patients and across all hospital wards.
Job Purpose
The Pharmacy Distribution Assistant works as part of a team of 20 people.
The post holder will work with the Distribution Team to assist in receiving medicines from our suppliers and issuing medicines to all our sites and customers.
Medicinal orders are received on a continual basis from a range of pharmaceutical suppliers.These orders must be checked off accurately and stored in the correct location ensuring stock is rotated due to short expiry dates.
Customer orders are created and prioritised for picking, checking and assembly ready for dispatch to pharmacy departments, wards, ITU theatres, etc.
To support the Distribution Services manager, in the provision of an efficient and high quality distribution service to UCL Hospitals internal and external customers
To support the Head of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Services Manager in their objectives towards maintaining and developing pharmacy services across the Trust.
Important Requirements:
- Previous pharmaceutical experience
- An empathic, caring approach to patients, and a great team player
- An honest individual with patience and integrity, with a willingness to learn and grow
- Excellent administrative, IT, verbal, and written communication skills
