Are you a caring and compassionate individual looking to make a meaningful impact in your local community? We are seeking dedicated Self-Employed Dementia Care Workers to provide essential support and companionship to Dementia and elderly clients in the Hanham, Kingswood, Warmley, Staple Hill, and Downend areas of Bristol.
Position:
Self-Employed - Dementia Care Worker
Location:
Hanham, Kingswood, Warmley, Staple Hill, Downend - Bristol
Commitment:
Minimum 10 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nourishing meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Provide personal care, ensuring the comfort and dignity of clients
- Assist with shopping to ensure essential supplies are readily available
- Foster companionship and engage in meaningful conversations
- Support clients in social activities to enhance their wellbeing
- Accompany clients to hospital/doctor appointments
- Encourage light exercise, such as short walks, to maintain mobility
Requirements:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Valid driver's license and access to your own car
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and committed to delivering highquality care
- Previous experience in care work is a plus, but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a caring team
