Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 07:00 - 17:00, 09:00 - 18: hours per week

Working Pattern - 4 Days per week worked on a rotational basis between Monday and Friday. Any weekend or out-of-hours work completed will be carried out on overtime.

Hybrid working between office and home location once full training has taken place.

Job Overview


We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Scheduler (Resource Planner) to join our passionate and driven team on our newly introduced 4-day working week model.

The Engineering Planner plays a crucial role in coordinating and organising engineering daily workloads.

They are responsible for creating and implementing detailed plans, schedules, and workflows to ensure the successful completion of engineering jobs in line with client agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for our engineering colleagues
  • UKwide
  • Schedule daily and weekly tasks for engineers using our inhouse systems
  • Manage engineering workloads against set attend and fix performance indicators
  • Ensure daily calendars are up to date and have little to no gaps
  • Ensure that works are moved around as and when required to meet servicelevel agreements
  • Identify potential risks and obstacles that may affect job timelines or quality, and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks
  • Raise purchase orders to suppliers on behalf of the field team
  • Updating the database of quotations, engineering overtime and statutory compliance certification where requested
  • Liaise with administration and operational management teams as and when required
  • Adhere to work order financial limits and highlight to account management when that limit is set to breach
  • Gather quote information from engineers to submit to the account management team

About you

  • Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordination, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and tools for scheduling, resource management, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to anticipate and address projectrelated challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring highquality project deliverables.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices is a plus
